Development of wireless communication is rapid which is a challenge for epidemiological exposure assessment. Given that modern mobile phones and tablets are constantly connected to the internet, is not clear whether simple surrogates like duration of mobile phone use still represent RF-EMF exposure of the population. Moreover, organ specific dosimetry has recently provided the basis for development of organ specific exposure surrogates.
