Dear members, colleagues, friends,

wherever you are: at home, office or lab,
hoping it will bring back a piece of normality to our lives, with trust in Science.

The past year, with the pandemic emergency, has completely revolutionized our work, we all resisted, and we are confident that the new year will reserve good achievements and perspectives for everyone.

The two societies have worked hard in these last months to be ready to the new challenges, and we are proud to share with you the two main news for the incoming year:

1.    The BEMS Board, EBEA Council, the Technical Program Committee, and the Local Organizing Committee are happy to announce that BioEM 2021 will be held in Ghent University, Belgium, from September 26th to October 1st.
The conference will be organized as a hybrid event, allowing both on-site as well as online participation and presentations.

2.    The Merging Committee, after a dedicated work of the last year in close connection and cooperation with the EBEA Council and the BEMS Board, designed the principles of a new society which would best serve members of both BEMS and EBEA and the entire bioelectromagnetics community, and generated the main documents which could define the governance of this new society. You will be called soon to contribute to final steps of this process through a dedicated forum.

We are happy to start together this new year, with a new future for our societies, looking forward to meeting you all in Ghent to fully and safely experience our usual social, scientific and business interactions!

We hope that you and your dears will stay healthy and safe.
