A postdoctoral position in cell biology, electrophysiology, and biophysics is available in the laboratory of Dr. A. Pakhomov and supported by NIH and AFOSR grants. Research will focus on the effects of electrical stimulation and membrane permeabilization by nano- and picosecond duration electric pulses, and includes studies of nanopore conductance, resealing, impact on cell physiology and viability, and medical applications in cardiac stimulation and cancer ablation.
A PhD or an equivalent degree in biology, biophysics, physiology, or related discipline is required. Applicants with experience in patch clamp and live cell fluorescent microscopy are especially encouraged to apply. Knowledge of biochemical and molecular biology methods and scientific writing skills are preferred.
The position is available immediately. Please send CV, a list of publications, and names and addresses of three references to firstname.lastname@example.org
